Description:

it is a medicine used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It should be taken just before meals as it lowers the post-meal blood sugar levels. Initially, it may cause side effects such as stomach pain, bloating, and gas, but these get better with time.

Alcohol CAUTION It is unsafe to consume alcohol with this Tablet. Taking acarbose with alcohol may affect blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes. warnings Pregnancy PROBABLY SAFE it is probably safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. warnings Driving SAFE Acarbose Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney CAUTION Acarbose Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of this may be needed. Please consult your doctor. How it works:
