Description:
Natrilam 5 Tablet SR is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a combination of two medicines that effectively controls blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. Natrilam 5 Tablet SR should be taken with food preferably in the morning to avoid frequent urination at night. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine. Glucose intolerance, ankle swelling, headache, and decreased potassium level are some common side effects of this medicine. Consult your doctor If any of these bother you, or get worse, or do not go away. Drink plenty of fluids while taking medicine to overcome muscle weakness, dry mouth, and extreme thirst. Dizziness or headache may occur due to low blood pressure, hence rise slowly from sitting position or avoid driving.

Alcohol CAUTION It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Natrilam 5 Tablet SR. Taking Indapamide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS Natrilam 5 Tablet SR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation Natrilam 5 Tablet SR is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. warnings Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Natrilam 5 Tablet SR may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. warnings Kidney Natrilam 5 Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. How to use:

How it works:
Natrilam 5 Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and indapamide which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Indapamide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.
